ROHS / WEEE - Company Statement

The European Union has established a directive, virtually removing harmful chemicals used in the manufacturing process. The main substances being;

Lead
MercuryCadmium
Hexavalent Chrome
Polybrominated Biphenyls
Polybrominatate Diphenyls

The directive states that the above mentioned chemicals must be removed from new products and / new designs.

As a distributor of electrical connectors and associated electromechanical products, we are working closely with our preferred manufacturing partners to achieve compliance, where such product exists. At present, military style connectors and associated parts are currently under review by the manufactures and ROHS / WEEE bodies. Currently, these parts are classed as military spares, and may be exempt, but we await manufactures formal instruction.

We, as with all stockist / distributors are working closely with our manufacturing partners to supply product to the directive as it becomes available. Where new ROHS compliant product and ranges become available, these will be highlighted and displayed under new products on our website.

All product sourced from preferred suppliers that are certified as ROHS compliant, are individually batch traceable, and highlighted as ROHS certified on outgoing customer paperwork.

We welcome specific Customer enquiries re the suitability of such product on new projects / build, and would ask customers to consider the end market suitability of products used , ie; Military / Commercial / Industrial.
